A solar pumping system uses sunlight to generate electricity that powers a water pump. The system is made up of solar panels, a solar pump controller/inverter and the pump itself.
The solar panels collect sunlight and convert it into DC electricity.
This electricity goes to the solar controller, which stabilizes, regulates and optimizes the power so the pump can run smoothly.
The controller also manages safety functions—such as stopping the pump when the tank is full or preventing it from running dry.
Even during cloudy days, the system can still pump up to 10% of the normal water output.
If batteries are included, the controller can also channel electricity to charge them before or while powering the pump.
Process Flow:
Sunlight → Solar Panel → DC Electricity → Solar Controller (regulates & protects) → Pump Motor → Water Pumping
